Shoveling coal into a steam engine boiler at Tuckahoe Steam and Gas Association

Welcome To the Tuckahoe Steam and Gas Association

We are an all-volunteer organization founded in 1973 and headquartered on Maryland's Eastern Shore. Our mission is to help preserve the historical Eastern Shore rural heritage.

In support of our mission, we maintain a 70-acre facility five miles north of Easton Md. on which we collect, restore, display, and operate a wide variety of vintage industrial machinery and agricultural equipment.

We welcome the public to our annual show held on the grounds during the weekend after the Fourth of July. We also sponsor many other open-to-the-public events and share our facility with various community groups. We are always actively seeking new members who share our interests and goals.

Please see the About Us page for more information and Driving Directions.
Upcoming events are listed on our
Calendar page. Also check out our Collections page for a partial listing of the many objects that we curate to help preserve our agricultural heritage. Click here for Volunteer Opportunities.

 In Memoriam

It is with great sorrow that we share news of the passing of long time member and exhibitor Ralph Retallack. Due to medical issues he had not been able to participate during the show in recent years. We were very glad that he was able to visit us during the show this year. He will be missed. We wish to extend our condolences to the family.
